Saturday June 12th we will once again bring thousands of people together for the annual pride parade in Bergen. Pride parades and marches are events dedicated to celebrating the diversity in our society, the right to love who you love and be who are! Pride parades move millions of people through thousands of cities all over the world, and most of the events take place around June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City, a pivotal moment in modern LGBTQ social movements. The parades seek to create community and honor the history of the movement.  It is both a celebration and a protest.

In 2019 the Bergen Pride Parade gathered over 25 000 people in the streets. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Bergen Pride has decided to move this year’s parade from land to sea, in order to carry out the parade in a safe way. This year we will organize Bergen’s very first pride boat parade / boat pride parade!

Everyone with a boat is welcome to join the parade, and participate in this celebration of love and diversity.
