Earlier this year a unanimous city council decided that the plaza south of the city hall should be named after Kim Friele. The area outside of the city hall is meant to work as a gathering place for every bergenser, regardless of gender, sexuality and cultural background. Kim Friele’s place should be a symbol of the city’s diversity. 

The municipality of Bergen wishes to invite everybody to the official opening of Kim Friele’s place and the unveiling of the sign. We hope that people want to show up to honor the memory of Kim Friele and to celebrate the opening of Kim Friele’s place. 

The Mayor of Bergen and others will give speeches.
