It is not good enough that lhbtiq+ people in Norway often feel that they cannot be who they are.
Queers in Norway today experience insecurity in public spaces. It is not without reason. The shooting in Oslo last year was a wake-up call for many, but others have been vigilant for as long as they can remember: always on guard, always prepared.
You experience attacks, harassment and microaggressions by virtue of being queer. What is it like to live with this insecurity? And what is needed in order to feel safer? How can we as a community end all the little digs? What does the Agency for Culture, Diversity and Equality do in Bergen? What is the role of the police in preventing incitement against the queer community? Is it sufficient? We ask them!
We invite you to an open debate with representatives from Amnesty, Commissioner for Culture, Voluntary Sector and Inclusion, Eduardo Andersen, and Pål Tore Haga from the Police.
If you have questions for the participants, you can send them in ahead to: pridehouse@bergenpride.no
