Sex og Politikk, FRI Vestland and Regnbuedagene invite you to an open café for queer seniors between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Here Sex og Politikk will set up a talk about the sexual health of the elderly and present Uke66.
Old age is often described as the fall of life, as if it were something negative. But isn’t it at this time of year that we reap the fruits of all our efforts during the spring and summer?
Sex og Politikk has prepared the e-learning tool Uke66.no which addresses the topic of the elderly and sexual health. Is it true that older queers are better at sexual health than others? Sex og Politikk organizes a talk about the topic and presents Uke66.

Balansekunst invites you to check your privileges!
* The workshop in-person, but requires you to use your own smartphone to answer reflection tasks anonymously.
Acknowledging your own privilege doesn’t mean “I’m a problem”, it means the system is a problem. Everyone has different identities, and you may encounter prejudices and advantages based on these. For example, you may face prejudice as a bisexual, but if you are white and do not have disabilities, you will at the same time have privileges by virtue of this.
Privileges indicate that people who are within the norms do not have to face certain prejudices. That doesn’t mean you never face resistance. This means that you will not encounter additional resistance because of your skin colour, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, class background, age, religion, or functional ability – and more.
During this workshop we give some examples of small and large barriers that many do not have to deal with, but which others experience. Here you can check which privileges you have or do not have, and reflect on what we can all do to ensure that everyone has the same opportunities and freedoms.
The workshop is led by Eivind Breilid, who is a mediator at Balansekunst.
